Create a project to organize your chats
A project lets you group several chats in one place: a client file, a research topic, a work in progress. No more conversations scattered across your history.
Create a project
You can create a project in two ways. From the Projects page (/chat/projects), click the create project button. Or, more directly, use the Projects section of the side menu, on the left of your screen.
Name your project and add chats
Give your project a name that clearly describes its topic, for example “Website”, “Job search” or “English lessons”. Once confirmed, the project appears in the side menu and stays available from any page of the chat.
You can then add your chats: start a new conversation directly from the project, or attach existing chats. All the conversations about the same topic are grouped in one place.
Move a chat into a project or remove it
To put an existing chat in a project, click the three small dots next to the conversation, then choose the project to move it to. The chat then appears in that project, with its full history.
Put a chat in the wrong place, or it no longer belongs in that project? Click the three small dots the same way to remove it from the project. The conversation is not deleted: it simply goes back to your chat list.
Why use projects?
- Find everything quickly: chats about the same topic are in one place.
- A clearer history: your chat list stays tidy, even with lots of conversations.
- Better separation of your uses (work, personal, studies).
